IS REGISTRATION STILL OPEN?

Yes, registration is open and our current pricing has been extended through July 31st.  

WILL WE BE RACING IN SEPTEMBER?

Yes, we will be racing!  But at this time, we are unsure if we will race in person or virtually. 

HOW IS THE EAU CLAIRE MARATHON ALIGNING WITH THE CURRENT GUIDELINES FOR MASS GATHERINGS?

Our #1 goal is to provide a safe race weekend experience for everyone!  Some ideas we are considering: limiting pre-race and post-race gatherings, cupless water stations, no bag/gear check, capping the number of participants with staggered start times, more corrals, smaller expo and restricting spectator access.  None of these ideas are ideal, but they may be necessary to host a race in person. We have spent countless hours discussing these options with other Race Directors and taken part in many webinar and zoom calls to learn more.

WHO WILL MAKE THE FINAL CALL?

Ultimately it will come down to the Eau Claire County Health Department’s regulations.  

WHEN WILL YOU MAKE THE CALL?

We understand that training plans have begun and travel plans have been made, but we don’t have a specific date set for a decision.  We want the Eau Claire Marathon to happen!  We continue to monitor the changes in restrictions and guidelines set by the EC County Health Department.  As soon as we have a decision, we will let you know!
